You really need to. The view of the lake is great just as you are nearing Tom Ridge Environmental Center. You cannot miss it!
I understand they are clearing the trees for the new Waldameer Park, Ravine Flyer II roller coaster.

I noticed that open view, too, when we went down there last week. It really opened it up having the trees down. I hated to see the trees get cut down but that is a nice bonus. I haven't been down there since last week so I don't know if the roller coaster structure will block the view when it is finished.
It will be quite the view from the roller coaster....
